FERNDALE
|
|
Ferndale-- also known as Rum Corner. The Post
Office was established in 1880. Founding families include
Ludwig Afflerbach, who at one time owned five farms in
Nockamixon and Durham Townships. The name Ferndale
suggests the sylvan beauty of the village's surroundings
in the secluded Gallows Run Valley. 1
