Statewide cost set for gun license

A debate over the price of a license to carry firearms in about two dozen Pennsylvania counties, including Bucks and Montgomery,
will likely become moot by the end of this year, Bucks County Sheriff Edward Donnelly said.
Beginning in December, sheriffs' offices across the state will be required to issue a uniform state license to carry firearms for $25.
Currently, each county sheriff's office issues its own license, and some, including Bucks and Montgomery, offer an upgraded
plastic license card similar to a driver's license for about $20 more. more...

Following extensive study and public input, PPL Electric Utilities has finalized the route of a new power line from Coopersburg to Quakertown, and has filed a formal application with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission for approval.

The PUC filing is the next step in a process that will allow PPL to significantly improve the reliability of service for tens of thousands of electric customers in the region.
