John Balderston married Hannah Cooper on October 21, 1737 in Gwynedd Meeting held in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Jonathan Cooper and Sarah Hibbs. She was born on March 29, 1719 in Middletown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

John Balderston was a weaver who immigrated from England. They had the following Children:

John Balderston the Father refused to take the Oath of Allegiance which was prescribed by law in 1777. As the time of his death in July 1778 his property was in danger of being seized by the government for failure to take the oath.

John, Jonathan and Mordecai were listed as being members of Captain Lanning and Captain Kestorís regiments in Solebury.
