BETTY L. WIEAND 

Services were held for Betty L. Wieand, 77, of Quakertown, who passed away Jan. 23, 2004 in VNA Hospice at St. Luke's Bethlehem.

She was the wife of Howard J. Wieand. They were married for 56 years.

Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late Norman D. and Gertrude Mae (Sterner) Lewis.

She was an office manager for the former Howard Tool Co., in Trumbauersville, prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Great Swamp U.C.C. in Spinnerstown, where she was president of the Ladies Aid and a former choir member.

She was also a member of the Keystone Quilters.

PAUL K. WIEAND

 

PAUL K. WIEAND, 84, of Souderton, formerly of Telford and Lake Harmony, died July 22, 2003 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

He was the husband of the late VIRGINIA (FREED) WIEAND.

Born in Trumbauersville, he was the son of the late NORMAN and ROSA (KRAMER) WIEAND.

He was a member of Zion Mennonite Church of Souderton.

Mr. Wieand founded Wieands Auto Body Shop, Souderton, in 1946. From 1967 to the mid 80's he was an insurance adjuster for the Harleysville Insurance Co.

He was devoted to the Lions Club, serving as former president of the Souderton Lions Club for three terms, and was a former district governor of the Pa. Lions Assoc.

He is survived by one son, DR. PAUL WIEAND of Ottsville; two daughters, VIRGINIA RAPHAELSON of Lake Harmony, and DENISE MILOTTE of Newark, Del.; two brothers, LUTHER and HENRY, both of Quakertown; and one sister, HELEN HOTTLE, of Quakertown; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held July 25.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Memorial Fund, GVH, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960.
