JOHN F. HOFFMAN 

Services were held for John F. "Jack" HOFFMAN, 83, who passed away on Jan. 21, 2004 in Quakertown Center Genesis ElderCare following a brief illness.

He was the husband of Janet K. (Reith) Hoffman. They were married for 51 years.

Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late WILLIAM and MARY (CURLEY) HOFFMAN.

He was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School, Class of 1938.

Prior to his retirement in 1989 he was an insurance agent, employed by the Philanthropic Mutual Insurance Co.

He served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was the recipient of the Silver Star and Purple Heart medals for valiant leadership, fortitude and courage displayed while wounded in action in Iwo Jima.

He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Quakertown.

IThe family requests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers be made to the St. Isidore Catholic Church Building Fund, 531 Broad St., Quakertown, PA 18951
