Bucks County Herald February 27, 2003 WALTER L. BRIGGS
WALTER L. BRIGGS of Chester, N.H., formerly of Solebury, died February 5. He was 75. Born in Queens, N.Y., he was the son of the late LOUIS BRIGGS and BERNICE SANGALE BRIGGS. He majored in chemistry at St. John's University in New York City and formed Briggs-Cooper Controls in Richmond, Va. He retired from Boston-Cooper Corp. in Salem, N.H. Mr. Briggs served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne. He is survived by his daughters, PAULA GEISSINGER and ADRIENNE BRIGGS; his son, STEPHEN BRIGGS; his sister, MARGARET ZALIS; his former wife, JOAN BRIGGS, and numerous nephews. The Funeral Mass was February 22 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pilla Heart Center, Abington Memorial Hospital, 1200 Old York Road, Abington, 19001. |
