HAROLD K. ASHTON 

HAROLD K. ASHTON of Lambertville, N.J. died February 23 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, N.J. He was 79.

Born in Lambertville, he was a lifelong resident of Lambertville.

Mr. Ashton was a custodian with the Best of France Antiques in Lambertville.

He was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville and a member, past president and past vice president of the T-Club at Hunterdon Medical Center.

He was the son of the late THEODORE and ELIZABETH KITCHEN ASHTON; the brother of the late ELEANOR A. SHEETZ; and the uncle of the late DONALD R. SHEETZ.

He is survived by his nephews and their wives, LAWRENCE F. and BRENDA SHEETZ and ROBERT H. and PATRICIA SHEETZ, all of Lambertville; several other nephews and nieces; and his great-nephews and great-nieces.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 27 at Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York St., Lambertville. The Rev. Daryl Wilson, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Lambertville.

Memorial donations may be made to Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, Box 237, Lambertville, N.J. 08530.
