WILLIAM S. REA
WILLIAM S. REA of Doylestown passed away
Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003. He was 93.
He was the husband of 43 years to
June Ryan Rea.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the
late WILLIAM A. and JENNIE SHEPPARD REA.
Mr. Rea was a graduate of Northeast High
School and attended Temple University.
He retired from the Naval Air Propulsion
Test Center after a long career as an aeronautical engineer.
During his lifetime, Mr. Rea was active in many business
ventures and organizations, including real estate development.
He also was the owner of a finance company.
Mr. Rea was an active member of Doylestown
Presbyterian Church for more than 25 years.
He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of
Mitchell Lodge. He also belonged to LuLu Temple and the Aircraft
Square Club.
Bill was a lifetime member of the
Philadelphia Ski Club and a longtime member of Old York Road
Country Club. He loved traveling, skiing, ice skating and golf,
and was an avid bridge player.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by
his daughter, AMY REA WEBB, his son-in-law, STEPHEN WEBB and his
grandchildren, MADELINE R. WEBB and WILLIAM B. WEBB.
Relatives and friends are invited to his
memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, in Doylestown
Presbyterian Church, 127 E. Court St., Doylestown, PA 18901,
where family will receive friends after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
in Bill's name may be made to Doylestown Presbyterian Church
Memorial Fund at the above address.
