Penndel Tax Collector
When I was a child Penndel Borough was called South Langhorne. We would walk from Langhorne Borough down the hill through Langhorne Manor to the movie theater. US Route 1 was called the Super Highway. Flannery's was a restaurant and bar with a ladies entrance. Flannery's owned first by Jim Flannery's parents and then he took over eventually was the home of "The Airplane" restuarant. You could go up and have a drink. On the opening of the The Airplane there was a tragic air balloon fatal accident.
Tomato Pie was purchased at Spat's. Palmer's lumber yard was adjacent to the rail road tracks currently the home of a strip mall. The food store is now a carpet store and the building across from the carpets was the pharmacy with a dance studio on the 2nd floor.
